Classically trained cellist, Greta Myers has been performing in weddings for over 15 years. Since graduating from West Virginia University with a bachelors degree in music, she has performed in local orchestras including Newark Symphony and Dover Symphony; and performed at weddings with a string quartet, string duo and with singer/songwriter Matthew Rineer. In addition to performing, she teaches music at a high school and owns a private string lesson studio.
Working with Matthew has been one of the most creative projects in her career. "I enjoy collaborating during the writing, recording and performing process. After recording our EP "How to disappear" we started arranging love songs and performing together at weddings. We love working together to arrange music for weddings and other events. It's fun to take a couple's most meaningful song and make it our own for their wedding day!"
Philadelphia, Pa based singer/songwriter Matthew Rineer has been making music for over 15 years. What started as a hobby, turned into a passion that would lead him from college directly to Nashville, Tn. after writing and recording 2 EP's. He relocated back to the northeastern United States to settle down close to family and old friends. He was looking for other musicians to collaborate with and met Greta in 2011. After recording their EP "How to disappear" they found it therapeutic to build a repertoire of arrangements of their favorite love songs and were sought out by friends and fans to perform together at weddings.
In addition to performing weddings and other events with Greta, Matthew is in the studio working on six new songs. "Hazel" is set to be released this fall - 2017
